The city that never sleeps is also the city that never disappoints - for the ladies!! Hunk-O-Mania is New York City's best Male Revue show in our opinion. This show features real Playgirl models as well as some of the the best-looking guys we have ever seen. They also have an incredible website with pictures, and an online box office to make buying tickets for their often sold out shows convenient. Everything from the waiters to the bartenders to the dancers is top-notch. Located inside ELEMENT nightclub on 225 East Houston Street (corner of Essex St.), Hunk-O-Mania is sure to deliver the perfect bachelorette or birthday party for the ladies. It's inviting decor and comfortable seating amidst the glow of the clubs incredible lighting make the "Hunk-O-Mania experience" nothing short of electrifying....the show's production combines choreographed group numbers with sex appeal and intrigue along with the occasional surprises that their audiences have come to expect. Chose the VIP Table tickets for groups of 8 or more for the most comfort. What makes Hunk-O-Mania unique is their approach to catering to the audience. This is a true "Audience participation" show that involves the crowd up close and quite personal. The shows MC delivers a high energy show with charm and personality not to mention his striking good looks. Every lady is personally greeted and waited on by the Hunks here and can surely expect a fantasy come true from spending the night with USA's Hottest Hunks!....A must see. Times Square Hunks - also trying to market themselves as "Playgirl Ladies Night Out" at Show Nightclub...is an interesting display of eccentric earthy talent. The Time Square Hunks seem to be just that, "SQUARE HUNKS". There is very little diversity among the male strippers and none of the so called "Playgirl" models they claim to have on their website were there. Mainly a white trailer trash male revue with a slight latino presence. Performances were reminiscent of a back woods VFW hall. The dancers were the worst performers we have ever seen and many of the costumes were Mish Moshe. Our review staff ladies were literally attacked by overly aggressive and non-relenting male strippers. The bachelorettes we interviewed at the show were a bit surprised with the new male revue at Show nightclub. One woman thought their bachelorette party made a wrong turn. Gossip - Word from the bartender is that the new marketing slogan of "Playgirl Ladies Night Out" is simply a diversionary tactic to try and lure women back into the club since there are so few repeat customers. There also has been a drastic fall off in attendance at the nightclub due to a weak door policy and a rash of on going violence which included several shootings.
Toted as an International Cover model Male Revue...When you visit their website and call them for tickets they claim that they have all the same dancers as the top show in NYC - Hunk-O-Mania...We wondered just how valid their claims were; we were very disappointed that none of the dancers they advertise on their website were at the show for the exception of the MC and one of the dancers, who we later discovered after speaking to one of the massage boys, are the owners of the company who looked like they might actually have been really good looking perhaps 10 years ago but now, look a bit old and out of shape! Lucky Chengs is where this show is performed a very small restaurant known to attract bachelorette parties to their drag performances... therefore, the majority of women at this small restaurant are there to see the drag queens not the male strippers causing the atmosphere to be very low energy... The first show we attended only had a skeleton crew of entertainers none of which are on the website, far from what we were told Luckily the audience turn out was as dismal or there would have been even more disappointed ladies those evenings. If you decide to attend, never purchase tickets in advance so if you are the only ones there you will not be stuck. Also make alternative plans just in case! Gossip - The grapevine tells us that the emcee is also said to have worked in the past for Hunk-O-Mania and All American Male but was fired by both companies for being a bit old and out of shape.
Back in its hay day, this male revue was New York City's hottest venue for females to indulge in sins of the flesh. Hunky men adorned every inch of this tiny space. Many members of our team have visited this male revue over the years. The Hunks have left the building and have been replaced by smaller slimmer types. Located at Club Duvet on 21st St. The club is small and gets very cramped. Picture a subway car with you on one side, other girls on the other side and the dancer walking the center almost like a catwalk at a fashion show. Now picture another row behind you and there you have it, no stage, no room but very up close and personal. There seems to be only one dancer left from the original advertised cast of male dancers. All the hunky gorgeous men in their ads are no longer there but replaced by young boys with sloppy acts. The star emcee Giovanni is said to have left over a pay dispute. The new mono-tone emcee has not yet developed the skills to accurately carry the show...We believe the only reason this place is still around is because most women who attend this Male Revue are actually thinking they are attending HUNK-O-MANIA at Club Avalon...when we called in to purchase tickets we asked if they were the HUNK-O-MANIA SHOW which used to be at AVALON Nightclub and they said: "we closed down that company now we're the only HUNK-O-MANIA in New York City..." but we knew better than that...so girls beware of this company, they have very unethical ways of doing business! Gossip - A coatcheck girl for the club after the show stated it takes the exotic sensation and thrill out of coming when you know that the Hunks have no interest in you and you in them, if you need an interior decorator or flower arranger or even a shoulder to cry on, this is the perfect hideaway. Hint, hint.
